Description
The origin of Covid-19 which brought the world to its knees is clouded in mystery and the government of China went to extreme lengths to prevent any independent inquiry. This book investigates the “wet market” theory as well as the possibility that the virus escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan.
What is certain – and is documented – is the cover-up that China’s government engaged in for many weeks. It denied that the virus could be spread by human-to-human transmission when it knew that it could, and it downplayed the number of cases, thus enabling the disease to spread and lulling other countries into a false sense of security.
As part of China’s cover-up they arrested doctors who warned of its contagious nature, closed down the laboratories of scientists who knew anything about it, destroyed samples and evidence, and refused to allow foreign experts into the country to help combat it, all the while deceiving the World Health Organisation into believing that it was not nearly as serious as it was.
The result has been the infection of millions of people, the deaths of more than 300,000 and the shutting down of economies all over the world – a situation that China is now trying to exploit for its own purposes instead of apologising to the victim countries and offering reparations for this made-in-China pandemic.
